Because, they are stupid.
I like “True Blood”. I do. It’s an awesomely fun show. But Anna Paquin, nominated for an AWARD? Uh, no.
And I don’t care who does it, but I want a special award made for Stephen Root for being the best guest star on multiple shows this year. Dude does not get enough recognition for being awesome. His turns on “Pushing Daisies” and “True Blood” this year were made of win.
Oh, I have more to say on the state of TV. Much more.

Nikki Finke ROUTED the legitimacy of the GGs today…I had no idea how insignificant the HFP really is.
That said, it IS fun to see TV and Features thrown into the same room together.
I’ve become disillusioned with the Globes a long time ago.
It started in the nineties with 2 consecutive nods to 90210. Two. In case you thought there was a weak year.
And then came 2001 with Alias (Love or hate it, it was still popcorn). And then 2003 with no Wire.
I think they’re just reading off Nielsen’s now.
I would say they’re a bunch of star struck old farts who’re doing it for the celeb attention, but that’s probably going too far.
I do like it for the casual mood everyone is in, with the scattered tables and dash of alcohol. Beats the formal row setup anytime.
Come on guys, who cares about relevance?? We watch it for Christine Lahti being in the can, all the drunk celebs, and…say it with me….GLADiator!!!
